About Alle

My name is Alle and I am the founder of The HR Lady.

With more than 20 years of experience in both corporate and operational roles within the human resources and health & safety fields, I am excited to offer practical and pragmatic people solutions to your business.

Born into regional South Canterbury, my childhood was spent on our family farm in Geraldine, with farm life and sports at the centre of all things throughout my schooling.  With a Bachelor of Commerce completed at Otago University, I started my career at the Anchor Products Clandeboye Cheese factory in recruitment and training, which soon after my arrival transitioned to become Fonterra and the opportunities really began.  From being based on manufacturing sites and working alongside local factory management and teams, to the head office environment in specialist change management and employment relationship roles, 13 years seemed to fly by although gave me the ability to establish a core set of human resources skills and a robust range of process disciplines and relationship building skills that I’ve relied upon since.

My next role in transport and storage spanned over 8 years – setting in place processes and frameworks, managing significant growth and developing a team of HR and safety professionals.  Most recently I have been working in the heavy construction sales and service industry.

I have extensive knowledge of human resources practices through my experience of managing a team of HR professionals, as well as coaching managers on a wide range of day-to-day operational HR issues, organisational design, strategy development and deployment, change management and employment relations.

Having previously specialised in employment relations, including union negotiations, resolution of day-to-day local and strategic national employee issues, collaboration and getting to the heart of the issues quickly is something I strive for ensuring value-add outcomes for both parties.

I have also had the privilege of designing and implementing large-scale software system changes with people implications – a challenging area and when done well, can be seamless and with little business impact.

Alignment to company values and principles is of great importance to me.  I am an honest and reliable worker that is prepared to add that special touch.

I am passionate about helping others succeed and enjoy being in a support role where variety is plentiful and the ability to contribute and make things better is welcomed.

I consider myself a true business partner – understanding what the business is trying to achieve, it’s challenges and issues and being able to identify solutions that add value, are easy and simple and just make sense.

With industry experience in manufacturing, professional services, transport and storage and heavy equipment sales and service, I am well placed to help a range of different industries and companies.

Delivery to the business and its people is important to me as is finding solutions to issues and problems that get in the way of getting the job done.
